Tele-Stulln® Mono UD
Composition of Tele – Stulln N:
1ml of solution contains:
active pharmaceutical ingredient: Naphazoline nitrate 0.1 mg.
Other ingredients: phenylmercuric borate, boric acid,sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium tetraborate, water.
Composition of Tele – Stulln N:
1ml of solution contains:
active pharmaceutical ingredient: Naphazoline hydrochloride 1.0 mg
Other ingredients: polyvinyl alcohol, sodium chloride,water.
Indications and usage:
Non-infectious and allergic forms of conjunctivitis.
Contraindications:
Tele-Stulln N / Tele-Stulln Mono UD may not be applied in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained in these products, in patients suffering from narrow-angle glaucoma ( a special from of glaucoma) and of rhinitis sicca (dry eczema of the nasal mucosa).
What should you observe during pregnancy and when nursing?
It is not known whether Naphazoline passes the placental barrier or is excreted in human milk. It is recommended not to administer Naphazoline during pregnancy due to possible systemic effects. Administration should occur only after careful consideration of potential benefits and risks by the attending doctor. This also applies to use in nursing mothers.
Side-effects:
Side-effects such as blurred vision, conjunctial irritation and in rare cases mydriasis, have been associated with the use of Tele –Stulln N / Tele-Stulln Mono UD.Topical administration occasionally may lead to systemic sympathomimetic effects such as palpitation, pulse acceleration and elevated blood pressure. Very rarely, i.e. in individual incidents, headache, sleeplessness and tiredness have been observed.
Warnings:
Prolonged use and over-dosages should be avoided, especially in children. In rare cases, blurred vision and mydriasis may occur during administration of Tele-Stulln N / Tele-Stulln Mono UD.
What should people wearing contact lenses observe when using Tele-Stulln N ?
Contact lenses should not be worn during treatment with Tele-Stulln N.
